The biological activity of recombinant human IL-12 was measured by its ability to stimulate the proliferation of PHA-activated human T lymphoblasts. IL-12 has anti-angiogenic properties. Recombinant Human Interleukin-12 is a glycosylated disulfide linked heterodimeric polypeptide that contains 503 amino acids and has a molecular weight of 75 kDa. It is comprised of disulfide-bonded 35 kDa (p35) and 40 kDa (p40) subunits. rHu IL-12 is purified by proprietary chromatographic techniques.
