Novel nanoparticle-based drug and gene delivery platforms to advance cell and gene therapy.
Delivering biological material – drugs and genes – to cells and tissues is no easy task. Various viral and non-viral delivery approaches have been studied. Non-viral technologies, such as liposome nanoparticles, are attractive as they avoid manyof the safety-related issues that have plagues viral delivery systems.
At Akron, we have extensive experience designing and developing new liposomal delivery tools.
