This week, Akron will attend the International Society for Cell Therapy’s Annual Meeting in London, UK. The meeting takes place from May 3 – 6, 2017 in London (UK) at ExCeL, located in London Docklands.
This year’s marks the annual meeting’s 25th anniversary, which will bring together over 1,000 delegates from academia and industry to discuss the latest in cell therapy discovery, development and commercialization.
As before, Akron will participate in a number of sessions, and we invite you to join us either at our booth (#700) or at one of our panels.
On Thursday, May 4, 2017, Akron will hold a Product Theater session, New Cytokine Delivery and Cryopreservation Tools for Advanced Cell and Gene Therapies where we will discuss the latest in our formulation work for interleukin-2 single-use delivery as well as new cryopreservation solutions without DMSO.

On Saturday, May 6, 2017, Akron will speak at Strategies for commercialization track session 6 – The impact of ancillary materials on your industrialization journey alongside Lynn Csontos (senior Director, STEMCELL Technologies; Jiwen Zhang, Regulatory Affairs Director, GE Healthcare; Brian Newsom, Business Development Leader, Thermo Fisher Scientific). Dr. Sandro Matosevic will discuss ancillary material quality, regulations and selection with respect to the impact on the commercialization pathway of emerging cell and gene therapies, including CAR-Ts.
