AppliChem was founded in 1992 in Gatersleben (Saxony-Anhalt). The company’s laboratories in Darmstadt offered, in addition to the reference standards, services around chemical products and the custom synthesis of organic and inorganic compounds. These activities have remained the core business until today. Most of these products formed the product line 'BioChemica'. Customers are from the pharmaceutical and chemical industries, as well as other suppliers of the biotechnological research and the production 'community'. In addition, our client base also includes researchers from universities and biotech companies.

Because of the enormous demand, the additional product line 'Chemica' was established in 1995, including basic chemicals in several grades and tailor-made solutions.

Animal Products

ANIMAL SERA

All Blood collection is performed under strict quality control and safety standards, in designated facilities approved by local animal health authorities. Serum is collected from animals that are traced and sanitarily certified from original roundup. Blood is individually collected in sterilized containers (closed collection system) and is temperature controlled from this point.
In-house veterinarians control all the steps of collection and processing to assure the best quality products and to minimize batch-to batch variations.

AppliChem has developed an innovative line of cell culture products to serve the needs of a rapidly evolving and growing market in the field of Biotechnology.

Serum-Free products are replacing traditional cell culture media in an effort to further define and purify the media used. Consequently, additional products used in cell cultures such as cryomedium, also must be animal serum-free.

AppliChem’s media products are produced in ISO certified facilities. The animal products that are used in these media are all from USA sources.

A single-use syringe that is specifically designed for Stem Cell Banks, assuring consistency and viability in the cryopreservation of cells.  The cryopreservation media contains organic raw materials that are USP/EP grade, sterile filtered and manufactured under cGMP conditions.
