Akron Biotech believes in the importance of partnering and building strategic alliances with key life science organizations. These partnerships are the ones that determine our success in developing unique products and growing our business. By creating the most promising alliances, we are able to focus on expanding our product portfolio and ultimately providing value to the scientific community and our customers.
Currently, we have an alliance with Leloir Institute (FIL), Buenos Aires, Argentina. Leloir Institute is well known for receiving a Nobel Prize in Chemistry for its discoveries in the biosynthesis of Glycoproteins, and its continued dedication to the creation of knowledge and dissemination of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology through research and teaching.
Formerly known as "Campomar Foundation Institute for Biochemical Research", the Leloir Institute was founded by Dr. Luis Federico Leloir and Dr. Carlos E. Cardini. It is dedicated to research in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology and its efforts may have a profound effect in understanding the nature as well as possibly finding ways for curing disorders such as Cancer, Alzheimer's disease, Parkinson's disease, Multiple Sclerosis, Chagas disease and the processes of Neurogenesis, among others.
As we enrich our portfolio with these alliances, we also intend on identifying new ones that will not only allow us to grow our business but will also provide us with a substantial advantage over our competitors. Our goal is to build incremental value for our customers through strategic relationships within the scientific community. In the future, Akron’s success will be determined on our ability to maximize our partnerships and grow our business.
